“The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1” contains several instances of Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) ‘breaking the fourth wall’ and looking directly at the camera/audience, something we haven’t really seen in the other movies. I think it’s pretty brilliant. It looks like they finally found a director (Bill Condon) who understood what the Twilight Saga really is for the majority of the audience: an escapist fantasy about being Bella and falling in love with Edward. Unfortunately it’s too little too late as just about everything else about this movie sucks.
